Welcome to The Highlands
If you are new to The Highlands, welcome! We believe every person, regardless of his or her personal journey, is valuable to God and to us. The Highlands has loved the Antelope Valley for over 33 years. Our goal is to help people follow Jesus and find their purpose. We are a safe place to come as you are, ask questions, find healing, and become part of a team who cares for one another and for those in our community.
What To Expect
Visiting a new church can be intimidating so we want you to feel prepared and comfortable. Here are the answers to some FAQs:
What should I wear?
We want you to be comfortable. People wear a range of styles, from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and suits. No matter how you prefer to dress, you will be welcomed here.
How long is the service?
Our services include worship, a Biblical message, and often a creative surprise. Typically, they are 1 hour long.
How will new guests be treated?

How will new guests be treated?
You can expect to be treated the same way we treat everyone. The Highlands is unusually friendly – expect quite a few handshakes. But we also respect that people often want to just check things out. We welcome new guests, but we won’t embarrass you. Also, as a first-time guest, we would love to offer you a free welcome gift, so be sure to visit one of our Connect Team members (they're typically in a light blue shirt).
What about my kids?
We offer safe, free Biblical lessons through our Faith Factory ministry for newborns through 5th grade students at all services. We also have a ministry just for middle school and high school students, called Refuge Youth, during our 10:00AM and 11:30AM services. Your children will be well taken care of by trained leaders who teach age-appropriate lessons. Your children are also welcome to join you in the service, if you prefer.
Am I expected to give money?
We believe in the value of generous giving and make time each week to honor God with our finances during our services. However, your response to give is between you and Jesus. We will never pressure anyone to give. If you have additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Meet our Lead Pastors
As husband and wife, Pastors Jeremy and Aimee Mayol lead The Highlands with a fresh vision to go deeper in Christ and reach the local community like never before.
Pastor Jeremy started at The Highlands as a graphic designer and later transitioned to be the Youth Pastor. Pastor Jeremy went to seminary to obtain a Master's degree in church ministry. Pastor Aimee faithfully served in kids ministry at The Highlands for almost fifteen years under her father, Ken Hart, founding pastor of The Highlands. They have two daughters who also love and serve the church.
